Job Description
Are you a detail-oriented student with a passion for digital content and social media? Pearson is seeking a motivated Student Content Uploader to join our dynamic remote team. In this role, you will be instrumental in expanding our online presence by uploading and optimizing blog posts, articles, and social media content across various platforms. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in content management, digital marketing, and the education technology industry. You will work closely with our content and marketing teams, ensuring high-quality, consistent, and engaging content delivery to our global audience. This position is 100% remote, offering flexibility to balance your studies with meaningful work experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Upload and publish blog posts and articles using our Content Management System (CMS), ensuring all formatting guidelines are met.
- Optimize content for search engines (SEO) by adding appropriate tags, meta descriptions, and alt text for images.
- Schedule and publish social media updates across platforms like LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook, aligning with our content calendar.
- Review and proofread content for grammatical errors, typos, and adherence to brand voice before publishing.
- Assist in sourcing and preparing visual assets (images, videos) for blog posts and social media.
- Maintain content archives and ensure accuracy and accessibility of published materials.
- Collaborate with content creators and marketing specialists to ensure timely content delivery.
- Provide basic reporting on content performance metrics as needed.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program (e.g., Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or a related field).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency with basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace).
- Familiarity with social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram) and their content publishing features.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with Content Management Systems (e.g., WordPress, Joomla, Drupal).
- Basic understanding of SEO principles.
- Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Express) for simple image creation/editing.
- Active presence on social media with an understanding of content trends.
- A proactive and enthusiastic attitude toward learning and contributing to a team.
