Job Description
XPO Logistics is seeking experienced and safety-conscious Class A CDL Drivers for a unique 4-day work week opportunity in Temecula, CA. Key Responsibilities
- Operate commercial motor vehicles safely and efficiently over assigned routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment and cargo.
- Ensure timely pickup and delivery of freight, adhering to schedules and customer requirements.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD) and complete all required paperwork.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members.
- Properly secure cargo to prevent damage during transit.
- Represent XPO Logistics professionally at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures.
- Excellent defensive driving skills.
- Ability to operate ELDs and other onboard technology.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hazardous Materials (HazMat) endorsement.
- Tanker endorsement.
- Experience with Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) freight.
- Geographical knowledge of the Southern California region.
