Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Small Surface Painter to join our team in Montreal. This role primarily involves performing precise touch-ups and repainting small surfaces, specifically fences and doors, to ensure high-quality finishes and extend the lifespan of our customers’ assets. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a steady hand, and a commitment to delivering exceptional results. This is a hands-on position requiring precision, efficiency, and adherence to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and minor repairs on fences and doors.
- Apply paint, stain, or other finishes to small surfaces using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment as needed.
- Perform precise touch-ups to existing paintwork, ensuring color matching and seamless blending.
- Protect surrounding areas from paint splatters and drips using masking tape and drop cloths.
- Clean and maintain painting tools and equipment.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures on site.
- Monitor inventory of painting supplies and report needs to supervisor.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding project progress and any issues.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to perform detailed painting work with a steady hand.
- Basic knowledge of paint types, primers, and surface preparation techniques.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in painting, construction, or a related trade.
