Job Description
Are you looking for an entry-level opportunity to start a career in the creative and fast-paced signage industry? Signs Express (Stoke-on-Trent) is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sign Printing Shop Helper to join our dynamic team. This is a fantastic chance for someone who is hands-on, meticulous, and eager to learn the art of vinyl cutting and weeding. No prior experience is required, as comprehensive training will be provided to the right candidate. You will play a crucial role in the production process, contributing to the creation of high-quality signs and graphics for our diverse client base.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of vinyl graphics, including cutting and weeding excess material from printed vinyl sheets.
- Operate vinyl plotters and other basic production equipment under supervision.
- Prepare substrates (e.g., acrylic, aluminium) for sign application, including cleaning and trimming.
- Support the sign production team in various tasks, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment, including equipment cleaning and material storage.
- Assist with quality control checks to ensure all finished products meet company standards.
- Help with packaging finished signs and preparing them for dispatch or installation.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines and procedures.
- Learn and develop skills in sign making techniques and materials.

- Strong attention to detail and precision, particularly with small components.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
