Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Shopify Webmaster to join our e-commerce team. This is a 100% remote position focused on the daily maintenance and operational efficiency of our Shopify online stores. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our digital storefronts are always up-to-date, performing optimally, and providing an excellent user experience for our customers. Your responsibilities will include managing product listings, updating content, ensuring site functionality, and implementing minor design adjustments.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily checks and maintenance on Shopify stores to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
- Manage product listings, including adding new products, updating inventory, pricing, and descriptions.
- Upload and manage product images, ensuring high quality and proper formatting.
- Implement minor front-end updates and content changes using Shopify's theme editor and basic HTML/CSS.
- Monitor website analytics and identify areas for improvement in user experience and conversion.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, collaborating with development teams for complex problems.
- Ensure all website content adheres to brand guidelines and SEO best practices.
- Manage third-party apps and integrations within the Shopify ecosystem.
- Assist with A/B testing and conversion rate optimization initiatives.
- Keep abreast of Shopify platform updates and e-commerce trends.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of experience working with the Shopify platform as a Webmaster or similar role.
- Proficiency in Shopify's admin panel and theme editor.
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for minor front-end adjustments.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with e-commerce best practices and online merchandising.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Shopify Plus.
- Knowledge of SEO principles and Google Analytics.
- Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Photoshop, Canva) for image optimization.
- Previous experience in a retail or fashion e-commerce environment.
- Bilingual (English and French) is a strong asset.
