Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Shopify Product Owner to lead our developer teams. In this critical WFH role, you will be the bridge between our business strategy and technical execution, driving the evolution of our e-commerce platform built on Shopify. You will own the product roadmap, define features, and ensure seamless delivery that enhances user experience, optimizes conversions, and supports Lululemon’s growth objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of the Shopify ecosystem, agile methodologies, and exceptional leadership skills to guide multiple developer teams towards shared goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Define, prioritize, and communicate the Shopify product roadmap in alignment with business objectives and strategic vision.
- Translate high-level business requirements into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications for developer teams.
- Lead and mentor multiple developer teams through the entire software development lifecycle, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Conduct regular sprint planning, backlog grooming, and review meetings, ensuring efficient workflow and timely delivery.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders across marketing, sales, design, and operations to gather requirements and manage expectations.
- Monitor and analyze product performance metrics, user feedback, and market trends to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
- Ensure the successful launch of new features and functionalities, conducting thorough UAT and post-launch analysis.
- Stay abreast of Shopify platform updates, new app releases, and industry best practices to ensure our platform remains cutting-edge.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager, specifically with Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms.
- Proven experience leading and guiding multiple developer teams.
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools (Jira, Confluence).
- Expertise in the Shopify ecosystem, including themes, apps, APIs, and headless commerce solutions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated ability to define product vision and translate it into actionable plans.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Shopify Partner Certification or relevant product management certifications (e.g., CSPO).
- Experience with A/B testing, analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Amplitude), and conversion rate optimization.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and liquid templating language.
- Experience in the athletic apparel or retail industry.
