Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and meticulous Sash Window Painting Helper to join our team in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent. This entry-level role is perfect for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a willingness to learn the intricacies of sash window restoration and painting. You will work alongside experienced painters, assisting with preparation, meticulous paint application, and ensuring a high-quality finish on heritage and modern sash windows. This position requires a careful approach to small, detailed tasks, contributing significantly to the overall aesthetic and longevity of our projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare sash windows for painting, including cleaning, sanding, scraping, and filling minor imperfections.
- Carefully mask off glass panes and surrounding areas to prevent paint transfer.
- Assist experienced painters with applying paint coats using brushes and appropriate techniques, focusing on detailed areas.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and cared for.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures on-site.
- Handle and store painting materials, ensuring efficient use and minimal waste.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding progress and any issues.
