Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Concession Stand Workers to join our team for stadium events in Downtown Durham, NC. This is a part-time, casual role perfect for individuals looking for flexible work hours, especially during evenings and weekends when events are scheduled. You’ll be responsible for providing excellent customer service, handling food and beverage sales, and ensuring a clean and efficient concession stand operation. Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and take food and beverage orders accurately.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems and handle cash and credit transactions efficiently.
- Prepare and serve concession items such as popcorn, hot dogs, beverages, and other snacks following health and safety guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked concession stand area during events.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including setup and breakdown of the stand.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Required Skills
- Ability to handle cash and operate POS systems accurately.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Must be at least 16 years old.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, retail, or hospitality is a plus.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and certifications (e.g., ServeSafe) is beneficial.
- Familiarity with stadium or event operations.
