Job Description
Are you looking to kickstart your career in retail? Canadian Tire in Fernie is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Part-Time Retail Sales Associates. No prior experience is required – we’re looking for motivated individuals with a positive attitude and a passion for helping others. You’ll play a vital role in creating a welcoming environment for our customers, assisting them with their purchases, and ensuring our store remains well-stocked and inviting. This is an excellent opportunity to learn the ropes of retail from a Canadian icon.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent service, assisting them in finding products and making purchasing decisions.
- Operate POS systems, handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, and process returns and exchanges efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor, including stocking shelves, arranging displays, and ensuring product availability.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving shipments, performing stock counts, and preparing products for sale.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding products, services, and store policies with accurate and helpful information.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by supporting colleagues and adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Promote company loyalty programs and special offers to customers.
