Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remote Apple API Integration Specialist to join our innovative team with a strong focus on empowering tech startups. In this 100% remote role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing robust API integrations primarily with Apple’s ecosystem (iOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS) and various third-party services. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions that power the next generation of business applications for fast-growing startups. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement secure and scalable API integrations with Apple platforms (iOS, macOS, watchOS) and external services.
- Collaborate with product teams and other engineers to define API requirements, specifications, and integration strategies.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in Swift and Objective-C for API consumption and data exchange.
- Perform comprehensive testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of integrations to ensure reliability and optimal performance.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for API functionalities, integration processes, and technical specifications.
- Stay current with the latest Apple technologies, SDKs, APIs, and industry best practices in mobile and API development.
- Provide expert technical guidance and support for integrated solutions.
- Actively participate in code reviews, fostering a culture of quality, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in Swift and Objective-C.
- Extensive experience with key Apple frameworks (e.g., Foundation, UIKit, SwiftUI, Core Data, Combine).
- Demonstrable experience integrating with RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
- Solid understanding of authentication mechanisms such as OAuth 2.0 and API Keys.
- Proficiency with Xcode, Git, and modern mobile development workflows.
- Strong understanding of mobile application architecture and common design patterns.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Effective communication and strong collaborative teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with server-side development (e.g., Node.js, Python, Go) to understand full-stack integration challenges.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications.
- Previous experience working in agile development environments, particularly within fast-paced startup settings.
- Contributions to open-source projects or a strong portfolio of personal projects showcasing API integration.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
