Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quantitative Analyst (Quant) to join our dynamic team in Baie Verte, Newfoundland and Labrador. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain quantitative models for pricing, risk management, and capital allocation.
- Conduct thorough validation of existing and new models, ensuring accuracy, stability, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Analyze complex financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
- Collaborate with trading, risk management, and technology teams to integrate quantitative tools and strategies.
- Prepare comprehensive documentation for models, methodologies, and analytical findings.
- Contribute to the enhancement of quantitative libraries and analytical infrastructure.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices, new technologies, and regulatory changes in quantitative finance.
Required Skills
- Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Financial Engineering, Computer Science).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in quantitative analysis within the financial industry.
- Strong programming skills in Python, R, C++, or similar languages.
- Proficiency in statistical modeling, time series analysis, and numerical methods.
- Solid understanding of financial markets, products, and risk management concepts.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with machine learning techniques in finance.
- Familiarity with financial databases and data visualization tools.
- Professional certifications such as CFA or FRM.
