Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and reliable Fruit Crate Handlers to join our busy distribution centre in Headington, Oxford. This role involves the essential task of loading and unloading fruit crates, ensuring produce is handled with care and efficiency. You will be a crucial part of our logistics team, helping to maintain the fresh supply chain to our supermarkets. This position offers daily payouts, providing immediate access to your earnings. No prior experience is necessary, as full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Manually load and unload fruit crates from delivery vehicles and into storage areas.
- Inspect crates for damage or spoilage and report any issues.
- Organise and stack crates efficiently and safely according to warehouse procedures.
- Operate basic material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks) after training.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and timely operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy crates (up to 20kg).
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Attention to detail to prevent damage to produce.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends if required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is a plus, but not essential.
- Basic understanding of food handling and safety procedures.
