Job Description
Join our vibrant team as a Plum Picking Crew member for the upcoming seasonal harvest. This is an immediate opening for hardworking and enthusiastic individuals to help gather our delicious plums. This role is physically demanding but incredibly rewarding, offering a chance to work outdoors and contribute to supplying fresh fruit to local communities. No prior experience is necessary, as full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Carefully pick plums from trees according to quality standards and picking instructions.
- Place picked fruit into designated containers without bruising or damaging.
- Work efficiently to meet daily picking targets.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in the orchard.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines.
- Report any fruit quality issues or tree health concerns to supervisors.
- Work collaboratively with other crew members to achieve team goals.
Required Skills
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Physical fitness and stamina for repetitive tasks, standing, bending, and lifting.
- Good hand-eye coordination.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar agricultural or seasonal picking role.
- Ability to speak basic English for communication with supervisors.
