Job Description

We are seeking highly skilled and compassionate Paramedics / EMTs to join our dedicated team in Plymouth, Devon, through a sponsored Skilled Worker Visa route. This exceptional opportunity includes full relocation support to help you establish yourself in the beautiful South West of England. You will be at the forefront of emergency medical care, responding to 999 calls, providing pre-hospital assessment, treatment, and transport for patients in a variety of situations. Key Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly and safely to emergency and urgent calls as directed by control room staff.
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat patients at the scene, employing a wide range of clinical skills and interventions.
  • Administer emergency medications, perform life-saving procedures, and provide advanced pre-hospital care.
  • Operate and maintain a range of ambulance service vehicles and medical equipment safely and effectively.
  • Liaise with other healthcare professionals and emergency services to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Complete comprehensive and accurate patient care records and incident reports.
  • Maintain professional standards and adhere to all Trust policies, procedures, and clinical guidelines.
  • Act as a professional role model, demonstrating high standards of patient care and teamwork.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities.

Required Skills

  • Paramedic or EMT certification/licensure (or equivalent international qualification recognized by HCPC for registration purposes).
  • Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience as a Paramedic or EMT.
  • Excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and in challenging environments.
  • Full valid driving license with C1 category (or equivalent with ability to obtain UK C1).
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Eligibility for HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) registration upon arrival in the UK.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BSc (Hons) in Paramedic Science or equivalent higher education qualification.
  • Experience in a busy urban or rural ambulance service.
  • Advanced Life Support (ALS) or Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) certification.
  • Experience with electronic patient care records systems.
  • Knowledge of the NHS and UK healthcare system.
