Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and physically capable Pallet Stacker to join our heavy-duty logistics picking team in Wolverhampton. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient movement and organization of goods within our busy warehouse environment. You will be responsible for safely stacking, moving, and organizing pallets, often dealing with heavy items. Attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and a strong work ethic are paramount for success in this fast-paced setting. Key Responsibilities

  • Manually lift, stack, and move pallets of varying weights and sizes safely and efficiently.
  • Operate manual pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as required (training provided).
  • Organize and consolidate products on pallets according to specific warehouse procedures and client requirements.
  • Perform quality checks on stacked pallets to ensure stability and integrity for transport.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Assist with inventory management and cycle counting as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve daily productivity targets and maintain workflow.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly.

Required Skills

  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects repeatedly (up to 25kg).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in stacking and organizing.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Commitment to following safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manual labor role.
  • Experience operating manual pallet jacks or similar material handling equipment.
  • Basic understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • A valid driving license (not essential but can be beneficial for commute).
