Job Description
We are seeking a highly meticulous and experienced Apple Account Auditor to join our dynamic team. This 100% remote position is crucial for ensuring the financial accuracy and compliance of accounts related to our various Apple-centric projects and client engagements. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough audits, identifying discrepancies, and implementing robust financial controls. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical capabilities, and a deep understanding of financial regulations and auditing principles, with a specific focus on the unique aspects of technology and licensing accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive financial audits of accounts, revenues, and expenditures related to Apple products, services, and partnerships.
- Verify the accuracy of financial data, ensuring compliance with internal policies, external regulations, and contractual agreements.
- Identify, investigate, and report on discrepancies, anomalies, or potential fraudulent activities.
- Develop and implement audit plans, methodologies, and best practices.
- Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal finance teams, legal departments, and external partners to resolve audit issues.
- Stay updated with industry trends, financial regulations, and Apple's business models and accounting practices.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of auditing processes and financial controls.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in financial auditing, with a focus on technology or digital services.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and auditing standards.
- Proficiency in financial analysis and reconciliation techniques.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a remote environment.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent).
- Experience with SAP, Oracle, or similar large-scale ERP systems.
- Previous experience auditing accounts within the tech sector, specifically with Apple ecosystem partners or licensees.
- Knowledge of intellectual property and royalty auditing.
