Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Orthodontist to join our established practice in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate professional to provide exceptional orthodontic care to a diverse patient base. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering outstanding clinical outcomes and an excellent patient experience, working within a supportive and modern dental environment. You will be responsible for diagnosing, preventing, and treating dental and facial irregularities, helping patients achieve optimal oral health and aesthetics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough orthodontic examinations and assessments.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive, individualized treatment plans.
  • Perform a wide range of orthodontic procedures, including fitting braces, aligners, and other appliances.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene, appliance care, and treatment expectations.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  • Collaborate with general dentists and other dental specialists to ensure integrated patient care.
  • Adhere to all clinical governance, CQC standards, and professional guidelines.

Required Skills

  • GDC Specialist Register in Orthodontics.
  • A minimum of 3 years post-specialist qualification experience.
  • Excellent clinical skills and a track record of successful patient outcomes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with various orthodontic systems (e.g., Invisalign, Damon, lingual braces).
  • Familiarity with digital orthodontics and imaging technologies.
  • Additional postgraduate qualifications or research experience in orthodontics.
