Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Orthodontist to join our established practice in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate professional to provide exceptional orthodontic care to a diverse patient base. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering outstanding clinical outcomes and an excellent patient experience, working within a supportive and modern dental environment. You will be responsible for diagnosing, preventing, and treating dental and facial irregularities, helping patients achieve optimal oral health and aesthetics.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough orthodontic examinations and assessments.
- Develop and implement comprehensive, individualized treatment plans.
- Perform a wide range of orthodontic procedures, including fitting braces, aligners, and other appliances.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene, appliance care, and treatment expectations.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Collaborate with general dentists and other dental specialists to ensure integrated patient care.
- Adhere to all clinical governance, CQC standards, and professional guidelines.
Required Skills
- GDC Specialist Register in Orthodontics.
- A minimum of 3 years post-specialist qualification experience.
- Excellent clinical skills and a track record of successful patient outcomes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with various orthodontic systems (e.g., Invisalign, Damon, lingual braces).
- Familiarity with digital orthodontics and imaging technologies.
- Additional postgraduate qualifications or research experience in orthodontics.
