Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Mattress Stitching Line Helper to join our manufacturing team in Yeovil. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment and values teamwork. As a Stitching Line Helper, you will play a crucial role in the mattress manufacturing process, assisting skilled upholsterers and machine operators to ensure the smooth flow of production and the high-quality finish of our products. Full training will be provided, making this an ideal role for individuals looking to start a career in manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled operators in the preparation and assembly of mattress components on the stitching line.
- Handle and position materials (fabrics, fillings, springs) accurately and efficiently.
- Monitor the stitching process for quality and consistency, reporting any issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to all health and safety guidelines.
- Support inventory management by helping to track material usage and notify supervisors of low stock.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production targets and deadlines.
- Perform routine quality checks on finished or semi-finished products.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and quality control.
