Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and reliable Loading Bay Operative to join our night shift team at our Reading distribution centre. This is an immediate start position crucial to ensuring the efficient flow of goods, preparing them for dispatch, and contributing to the smooth operation of our logistics network. Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload vehicles efficiently and safely, following all company procedures.
- Sort and organise parcels and packages in the loading bay area.
- Scan and process incoming and outgoing shipments using handheld devices.
- Verify product counts against dispatch notes and report any discrepancies.
- Operate manual handling equipment such as pallet trucks and pump trucks.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily targets and deadlines.
- Adhere to all site security and operational policies.
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively during night hours.
