Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Legal Data Clerk to join our team, specializing in high-volume document migration. This is a fully remote (Work From Home) position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within Australia, with a preference for candidates based in Queensland for occasional team meetings if required. You will be instrumental in ensuring the accurate and efficient transfer of critical legal documents and data between systems, playing a vital role in our digital transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, an exceptional eye for detail, and a foundational understanding of data handling best practices. This role requires commitment to high data integrity standards and the ability to manage large volumes of information with precision. While the role is WFH, you will be an integral part of our dynamic team, contributing to key projects that enhance our operational efficiency and client service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute high-volume data entry and document migration tasks with a strong focus on accuracy and completeness.
  • Categorize, index, and organize legal documents and records according to established firm protocols and legal compliance standards.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on migrated data to identify and rectify discrepancies or errors.
  • Collaborate with legal teams and IT support to troubleshoot data migration issues and optimize processes.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and data security protocols for all sensitive legal information.
  • Assist in the development and documentation of data migration procedures and best practices.
  • Prepare reports on migration progress, data integrity, and potential challenges.
  • Utilize various software platforms and tools for document management and data manipulation.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Demonstrated ability to handle high volumes of data entry with accuracy and speed
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting
  • Basic understanding of data integrity principles and confidentiality requirements
