Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and organized Inventory Clerk to join our team at the Houston Oil Tool Warehouse. This critical role involves managing the flow of oil field equipment and supplies, ensuring accurate inventory records, and supporting efficient warehouse operations during day shifts. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, unload, and process incoming shipments of oil field tools and materials.
  • Accurately count, weigh, and verify items against purchase orders and packing lists.
  • Organize and store inventory in designated warehouse locations using forklifts or other equipment.
  • Maintain precise inventory records using a computerized inventory management system.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments, including picking, packing, and labeling products.
  • Assist with loading and unloading trucks, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods.
  • Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Ensure the warehouse remains clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency with inventory management systems and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to perform accurate data entry and record-keeping.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a warehouse or inventory management role, preferably in the oil & gas industry.
  • Forklift certification and experience operating other warehouse equipment.
  • Knowledge of oil field tools, equipment, and materials.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
