Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Shopify App Developer with strong expertise in Node.js and React to join our innovative team. This is a 100% remote position, offering you the flexibility to work from anywhere within the UK. You will play a crucial role in developing, enhancing, and maintaining custom Shopify applications that integrate seamlessly with our clients’ e-commerce platforms. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy robust and scalable custom Shopify applications using Node.js for backend services and React for frontend interfaces.
- Integrate third-party APIs and services with Shopify stores to extend functionality and enhance user experience.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, designers, and other developers to define project requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices and industry standards.
- Perform thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring code quality.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Shopify updates, Node.js and React ecosystem advancements, and emerging web technologies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to Shopify apps and integrations.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and tools.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Node.js and its frameworks (e.g., Express.js, NestJS).
- Strong command of React.js and its ecosystem (e.g., Redux, Context API, Hooks).
- Extensive experience with Shopify API (Admin API, Storefront API) and app development best practices.
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and webhook integrations.
- Expertise in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
- Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Familiarity with database technologies (e.g., MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Ability to write comprehensive unit and integration tests.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Knowledge of UI/UX principles and responsive design.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
