Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Data Warehouse Architect to join our technology team in Amarillo, TX. This critical role involves designing, developing, and maintaining our enterprise data warehouse and data mart solutions. You will be responsible for defining data architecture, ensuring data integrity, performance, and scalability, and working closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust data solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement scalable and high-performance data warehouse and data mart solutions.
- Define and enforce data architecture standards, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into technical specifications for data warehousing.
- Lead the development of ETL/ELT processes to extract, transform, and load data from various source systems into the data warehouse.
- Optimize existing data warehouse structures and queries for performance and efficiency.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data warehouse environments.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior data professionals.
- Evaluate and recommend new data warehousing technologies and tools.
- Document data models, data flows, and architecture designs.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data warehousing, ETL development, and data architecture.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
- Extensive experience with ETL tools (e.g., SSIS, Informatica, DataStage).
- Proven track record in designing and implementing large-scale data warehouses.
- Solid understanding of data modeling principles (dimensional and relational).
- Experience with data governance and data quality best practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with cloud-based data warehousing platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Azure Synapse, AWS Redshift).
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Knowledge of banking or financial services industry data.
- Certifications in relevant data warehousing or cloud technologies.
