Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Instrument Sales Representative to join our dynamic sales team. This role is crucial for expanding our market presence and achieving sales targets for our cutting-edge scientific instruments. You will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing existing client relationships, and providing exceptional product demonstrations and technical support. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical aptitude, excellent communication skills, and a passion for science and sales. This position offers a competitive base salary combined with a commission structure that rewards success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within assigned territory.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Present and demonstrate scientific instruments and solutions to potential clients.
  • Negotiate contracts and close sales agreements.
  • Provide technical assistance and training to customers on product usage.
  • Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including marketing, product management, and technical support.
  • Prepare and deliver sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and market analysis.
  • Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and sales meetings.

Required Skills

  • Proven sales experience in a B2B environment (2+ years preferred).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
  • Ability to learn and effectively communicate complex technical information.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel frequently within the assigned territory.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering) or related field.
  • Experience selling scientific instruments, laboratory equipment, or medical devices.
  • Familiarity with the life science, pharmaceutical, or clinical research industries.
