Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport packages and freight to designated locations within Cedar Rapids and surrounding areas.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Maintain your cargo van in excellent working condition, ensuring it meets all safety and operational standards.
- Manage delivery routes and schedules effectively to meet delivery deadlines.
- Communicate professionally with customers and dispatch regarding delivery status and any issues.
- Accurately complete delivery manifests and maintain meticulous records.
- Represent the FedEx brand with professionalism and a commitment to exceptional service.
Required Skills
- Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ownership of a well-maintained, reliable cargo van suitable for package and freight delivery.
- Proof of adequate vehicle insurance.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to lift and carry packages of varying weights (up to 75 lbs).
- Familiarity with GPS navigation and routing software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as an independent courier or delivery driver.
- A strong understanding of the Cedar Rapids geographical area and local routes.
- Proven track record of reliability and punctuality.
