Key Responsibilities
- Assist UPS drivers with package delivery and pickup operations on assigned routes.
- Efficiently load and unload packages from delivery vehicles, ensuring proper handling and care.
- Organize packages in the vehicle according to delivery sequence to optimize route efficiency.
- Navigate assigned routes with the driver, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment within the delivery vehicle.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, company policies, and procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service during interactions with recipients and the public.
- Work collaboratively with drivers and other team members to meet daily delivery goals.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift, push, and pull packages weighing up to 70 lbs. regularly.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to service excellence.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Legal right to work in the USA.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a physical labor or customer service role is a plus, but not required.
- Familiarity with the Detroit, MI area and surrounding neighborhoods.
