Key Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Help with light housekeeping duties, meal preparation, and grocery shopping.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring client safety.
- Accompany clients to appointments and social activities.
- Monitor and report any changes in client health or behavior to supervisory staff.
- Engage clients in stimulating activities appropriate for their abilities.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for clients.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED.
- Genuine desire to help others and a compassionate demeanor.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physical ability to perform duties, including lifting and assisting with mobility.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- CPR and First Aid certification (training can be provided).
- Previous volunteer experience in a care setting.
- Bilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish).
