Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Hotel Porter to join our team in Cheltenham. This is an excellent opportunity to work close to home and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. As a Hotel Porter, you will be a vital part of our front-of-house team, ensuring guests’ stays are comfortable and seamless from arrival to departure. You will handle luggage, assist with guest inquiries, maintain common areas, and provide essential support to ensure the smooth operation of our hotel. Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests upon arrival and assist with luggage handling, ensuring efficient and safe transport to their rooms.
- Escort guests to their rooms, providing information about hotel facilities and services.
- Assist guests with inquiries, directions, and transportation arrangements.
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the lobby, common areas, and luggage storage areas.
- Deliver newspapers, messages, and room service orders as required.
- Handle guest requests promptly and courteously, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Support the front desk and other departments with various tasks as needed.
- Ensure security protocols are followed regarding guest belongings and access to hotel areas.
- Be knowledgeable about local attractions, restaurants, and services to assist guests effectively.
