Job Description

Are you under 21, eager to start your career in hospitality, and looking for an opportunity to learn and grow? Apex City Quay Hotel & Spa is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as a Hotel Porter. This entry-level role is perfect for someone with a can-do attitude who is keen to develop their skills with full training and mentorship provided. You will be an integral part of our front-of-house team, ensuring our guests have a smooth and enjoyable stay from the moment they arrive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet and assist guests with luggage upon arrival and departure.
  • Escort guests to their rooms, explaining hotel facilities and services.
  • Handle guest inquiries and requests efficiently and courteously.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the hotel lobby and entrance areas.
  • Assist with the delivery of items to guest rooms, such as newspapers or room service.
  • Support other hotel departments as needed, including front desk or concierge.
  • Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests and staff.
  • Learn and adhere to all hotel policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Required Skills

  • Under 21 years of age.

  • Physical stamina to lift and carry luggage.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of the local area and attractions.
  • A full, clean UK driving license is desirable but not essential.
