Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Healthcare Policy Researcher to join our team in New Port Richey, FL. This role is crucial for analyzing complex clinical data and its implications for healthcare policy reform. The successful candidate will conduct in-depth research, evaluate policy impacts, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions that address current challenges in the healthcare landscape. You will work with diverse datasets, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and translate research findings into actionable insights for policy makers and healthcare stakeholders. This position requires a strong analytical mind, a passion for healthcare improvement, and the ability to navigate intricate policy frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive research and analysis of healthcare policies, regulations, and legislative proposals related to clinical data and reform initiatives.
- Utilize advanced analytical techniques to extract, interpret, and model clinical data to identify trends, disparities, and opportunities for improvement.
- Evaluate the potential impact of proposed and existing healthcare policies on patient outcomes, access to care, and healthcare costs.
- Prepare detailed reports, white papers, presentations, and policy briefs synthesizing complex information for various audiences, including internal stakeholders and external policy makers.
- Collaborate with clinical experts, data scientists, economists, and other researchers to develop evidence-based recommendations for policy reform.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends, research, and best practices in healthcare policy, clinical data science, and health economics.
- Participate in cross-functional teams and committees to advance research objectives and organizational goals.
- Present research findings at internal meetings, conferences, and to external partners as required.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with an ability to interpret complex clinical and policy data.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., R, SAS, Python for data analysis).
- Demonstrated understanding of U.S. healthcare policy, regulatory frameworks, and healthcare delivery systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating complex data into clear, concise, and compelling narratives.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience with large datasets and database management.
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Policy, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. in Public Health, Health Policy, Health Economics, Biostatistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience in a research or policy analysis role within a healthcare organization, government agency, or academic institution.
- Familiarity with specific clinical coding systems (e.g., ICD, CPT) and healthcare claims data.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Proven track record of publishing research or contributing to policy recommendations.
