Job Description
Are you enthusiastic, friendly, and love ice cream? Ben & Jerry’s in Hoboken is looking for energetic Ice Cream Servers to join our team! This is a fantastic opportunity for teens and students looking for a flexible, fun part-time job in a lively environment. You’ll be the face of our scoop shop, helping customers choose their favorite flavors, preparing delicious treats, and ensuring everyone leaves with a smile. No prior experience is necessary – we’ll teach you everything you need to know to become a scoop shop star!
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers enthusiastically and provide excellent service.
- Scoop and serve ice cream, sundaes, milkshakes, and other dessert items.
- Operate cash register, handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the scoop shop, including front-of-house and back-of-house areas.
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are met.
- Assist with stocking inventory and preparing ingredients as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve minor issues professionally.
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Friendly, outgoing, and positive attitude.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Reliable and punctual.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service or food service role (though not required).
- High school student or equivalent, or recent graduate.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A genuine love for ice cream!
