Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our property maintenance team as a Garden Cabin Maintenance specialist, focusing primarily on refreshing wood color. This role is crucial for maintaining the aesthetic appeal and longevity of our garden cabins and exterior wooden structures across various properties in Camden. You will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying stains, varnishes, and protective coatings, and ensuring a high-quality finish. Key Responsibilities
- Inspect garden cabins and other wooden outdoor structures for wear, fading, and damage.
- Prepare wooden surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and repairing minor imperfections.
- Select appropriate wood stains, varnishes, or paints based on specifications and material type.
- Apply wood refreshers and protective coatings evenly and thoroughly to achieve desired color and finish.
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, meeting safety and quality guidelines.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order and ensure proper storage.
- Report any significant damage or issues to the maintenance supervisor.
- Work efficiently and manage time effectively to complete tasks within given deadlines.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in painting, staining, or wood finishing.
- Familiarity with various types of wood treatments and application techniques.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including sanding, painting, and minor repairs.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
