Job Description
We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Fencing Operative to join our team in Knaresborough, North Yorkshire. This is a hands-on, outdoor manual role primarily involving the installation, repair, and maintenance of various types of fencing. You will work as part of a crew, contributing to projects that range from garden fences to large-scale commercial boundaries. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare work sites by clearing ground, digging post holes, and handling materials.
- Install various types of fencing, including timber, metal, and specialised security fences, following specifications and safety guidelines.
- Repair and maintain existing fences, replacing damaged sections and ensuring structural integrity.
- Load and unload tools, equipment, and materials safely and efficiently.
- Operate hand tools and basic power tools relevant to fencing work.
- Ensure all work is carried out to a high standard, meeting company quality benchmarks.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations on site.
- Work effectively as part of a team, communicating clearly with colleagues and supervisors.

- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong manual dexterity and practical aptitude.

Preferred Qualifications
