Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and forward-thinking Fleet Logistics Specialist with a focus on autonomous technology to join our innovative team. This 100% remote role involves managing the intricate logistics for our autonomous vehicle fleet, ensuring optimal operational efficiency, compliance, and strategic deployment. You will be instrumental in coordinating the movement, maintenance, and data collection of our advanced fleet, working closely with engineering and operations teams to support cutting-edge research and development in self-driving technology from the comfort of your home office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimize the end-to-end logistics for Apple's autonomous vehicle fleet, including scheduling, routing, and deployment.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams for timely servicing, repairs, and upgrades of fleet vehicles.
  • Monitor fleet performance, collect operational data, and generate reports to identify areas for improvement and efficiency.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all relevant local, national, and international transportation and safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement robust contingency plans for unforeseen operational challenges or emergencies.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and operations teams to align logistics strategies with overall project goals.
  • Utilize advanced logistics software and fleet management systems to track and manage assets efficiently.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of logistics processes and autonomous fleet operations.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in fleet management, logistics, or supply chain operations.
  • Demonstrated understanding of autonomous vehicle technology and its operational requirements.
  • Proficiency in advanced logistics software and fleet management systems.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to operational challenges.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, crucial for a remote working environment.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related technical field.
  • Experience working with a major technology company or in a fast-paced R&D environment.
  • Knowledge of Northern Ireland and UK transport regulations and licensing requirements.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
  • Familiarity with data analytics tools for fleet performance optimization.
