Job Description

FedEx Express is thrilled to announce openings for our Courier Training & Mentor program in Atlanta, GA. This entry-level position is perfect for highly motivated individuals who are eager to learn and grow within the express delivery industry. As an Express Courier trainee, you will undergo comprehensive training covering all aspects of package delivery, safety protocols, customer service, and efficient route management. Our structured mentor program will pair you with experienced couriers who will guide you through your initial months, ensuring you develop the skills and confidence needed to excel. Upon successful completion of the training, you will transition into a full-fledged FedEx Express Courier role, playing a vital part in our mission to deliver exceptional service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in a comprehensive training program to learn FedEx operational procedures and safety standards.
- Safely and efficiently operate company vehicles for pickup and delivery of packages along assigned routes.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety guidelines.
- Provide exceptional customer service, professionally interacting with customers during deliveries and pickups.
- Accurately complete paperwork and use handheld devices for scanning and tracking packages.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment and vehicle.
- Collaborate with your assigned mentor and team members to continuously improve performance and efficiency.
- Handle packages with care, ensuring they reach their destination in excellent condition.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 75 lbs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in customer service or a related field.
- Familiarity with the Atlanta metropolitan area.
