Job Description
Join our team as a Farmers Market Stall Setup Helper for early weekend shifts in Drummondville! This entry-level position is perfect for individuals who are reliable, enjoy working outdoors, and are eager to contribute to a vibrant community atmosphere. You will be responsible for assisting with the setup, display, and breakdown of our farmers market stall, ensuring it is presentable and welcoming for customers. This role offers an excellent opportunity to be part of a team dedicated to fresh, local produce and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Arrive promptly at the market location for early morning setup.
- Unload and transport market produce, tables, tents, and display materials.
- Assemble market stall infrastructure, including tents, tables, and signage.
- Arrange and display produce and products attractively and safely.
- Assist with inventory management and restocking during market hours as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized stall area throughout the market day.
- Provide friendly assistance to customers, answering basic questions about products.
- Dismantle the stall and pack up all equipment and remaining inventory efficiently after market closing.
- Ensure the market area is left clean and tidy post-market.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs (23 kg) safely.
- Reliability and punctuality for early morning shifts.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a small team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- No prior experience required; willing to train motivated individuals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment.
- Knowledge of local produce and seasonal availability.
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
