Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Exterior Painting Helper to join our property maintenance team in Bath. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the painting and decorating sector, specifically focusing on ground-level fences and walls. The successful candidate will assist skilled painters with preparation, painting, and clean-up tasks, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to safety standards. Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled painters in preparing surfaces for painting, including cleaning, scraping, sanding, and minor repairs on ground-level fences and walls.
- Apply paint, stain, and other finishes to various exterior surfaces using brushes, rollers, and other tools as directed.
- Ensure proper masking and covering of adjacent areas to prevent paint drips and spills.
- Help with the setup and dismantling of equipment, including ladders, scaffolding (ground level only), and protective sheeting.
- Mix and match paint colours accurately as instructed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including cleaning tools and equipment.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Transport materials and equipment to and from job sites.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the lead painter or supervisor.
