Job Description
Biogen is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Part-Time Receptionist to join our team in Cambridge. This is an excellent opportunity for college students looking to gain valuable administrative experience in a professional, fast-paced corporate environment. You will be the first point of contact for visitors and callers, playing a crucial role in creating a welcoming and efficient atmosphere. This role requires excellent communication skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome visitors warmly, directing them to the appropriate personnel or departments.
- Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls promptly and professionally.
- Manage and maintain a tidy and organized reception area.
- Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail and deliveries.
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing meeting room bookings.
- Provide general administrative and clerical support, including data entry and filing.
- Handle inquiries and provide basic information about the company.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth office operations.
- Maintain security by following procedures and controlling access (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges).
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Professional demeanor and appearance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
