Job Description

Are you a detail-oriented, hands-on individual with a passion for bringing large-scale events to life? GES is seeking an enthusiastic Exhibition Setup Hand to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial for the successful execution of national exhibition projects, involving extensive travel across Canada. You will be responsible for the precise and timely installation and dismantling of exhibition booths, displays, and event infrastructure. Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and dismantle exhibition booths, displays, and structural elements according to design specifications and safety protocols.
  • Load and unload materials and equipment, ensuring safe handling and transportation.
  • Operate various hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Work collaboratively with project managers, supervisors, and other team members to meet project deadlines.
  • Perform general labor tasks, including site preparation and cleanup.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures on-site.
  • Travel extensively to various national project locations, often for multiple days at a time.

Required Skills

  • Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
  • Proficiency with basic hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret setup diagrams and instructions.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and strong work ethic.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently across Canada for projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in exhibition setup, construction, general labor, or a related field.
  • Valid G-class driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
  • Experience operating forklifts or other heavy machinery (certification an asset).
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations for event sites.
