Job Description
Join the EA Sports team as a QA professional focused on our high-growth tech hub initiatives. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality and playability of our next-generation sports titles. You will work within a dynamic environment, collaborating closely with development teams to identify, report, and verify defects, contributing directly to the player experience. Key Responsibilities
- Execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to identify software defects.
- Document, track, and retest bugs using defect tracking systems, ensuring clear and concise reporting.
- Collaborate effectively with developers, designers, and producers to understand game features and requirements.
- Provide detailed feedback on game quality, usability, and overall player experience.
- Participate in daily stand-ups and team meetings, contributing to agile development cycles.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of test documentation and procedures.
- Perform regression testing and verification of bug fixes across multiple builds and platforms.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in Quality Assurance, preferably within the gaming or software industry.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycles and QA methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with various gaming platforms (PC, console, mobile).
- Proficiency with defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Game Design, or a related field.
- Passion for sports video games and a deep understanding of relevant genres.
- Experience with test automation tools and scripting.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python) or basic programming concepts.
- Familiarity with game engines like Unreal Engine or Unity.
- Previous experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
