Job Description

Join the EA Sports team as a QA professional focused on our high-growth tech hub initiatives. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality and playability of our next-generation sports titles. You will work within a dynamic environment, collaborating closely with development teams to identify, report, and verify defects, contributing directly to the player experience. Key Responsibilities

  • Execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to identify software defects.
  • Document, track, and retest bugs using defect tracking systems, ensuring clear and concise reporting.
  • Collaborate effectively with developers, designers, and producers to understand game features and requirements.
  • Provide detailed feedback on game quality, usability, and overall player experience.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups and team meetings, contributing to agile development cycles.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of test documentation and procedures.
  • Perform regression testing and verification of bug fixes across multiple builds and platforms.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in Quality Assurance, preferably within the gaming or software industry.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycles and QA methodologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with various gaming platforms (PC, console, mobile).
  • Proficiency with defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Game Design, or a related field.
  • Passion for sports video games and a deep understanding of relevant genres.
  • Experience with test automation tools and scripting.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python) or basic programming concepts.
  • Familiarity with game engines like Unreal Engine or Unity.
  • Previous experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
