Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated E-commerce Platform Engineer to join our dynamic team in Eugene, Oregon. This role is crucial for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and robust e-commerce platforms that power millions of transactions daily. You will be instrumental in building high-performance, secure, and user-friendly solutions, collaborating closely with product managers, UX designers, and other engineering teams. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain highly scalable and resilient e-commerce platform services and applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features and enhancements.
- Optimize existing platform components for performance, scalability, and security.
- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and architectural decisions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, ensuring high availability of the e-commerce platform.
- Implement best practices for software development, including testing, documentation, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD).
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve our platform.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in one or more object-oriented programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C++, Go).
- Strong experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS).
- Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful API design and development.
- Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) for integration purposes.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Prior experience working on large-scale e-commerce platforms or high-traffic web applications.
- Understanding of security best practices in web development and cloud environments.
- Experience with performance monitoring and optimization tools.
