Job Description
Are you passionate about the ocean and love interacting with people? Blue Water Divers & Watersports is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Dive Boat Helper to join our team for the summer season! This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy being on the water, assisting divers, and contributing to a positive and memorable experience for our guests. You’ll be a key part of our daily operations, ensuring our dive boat runs smoothly and our customers feel welcomed and supported.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the boat captain and dive instructors with daily operations.
- Greet and assist divers and snorkelers, helping them with gear preparation and entry/exit from the water.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of all guests on board.
- Help with loading and unloading dive equipment and supplies.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the dive boat before, during, and after trips.
- Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and engaging with guests.
- Assist with tank filling and equipment maintenance as needed.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and procedures.
Required Skills
- Strong swimming ability and comfort in the water.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy dive equipment (up to 50 lbs).
- Punctual, reliable, and a strong team player.
- Positive attitude and a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to work long hours in varying weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of marine environments and diving (e.g., Open Water Diver certification).
- Previous experience in a customer service role.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Prior experience working on boats or in a marine setting.
