Job Description

As a Digital Currency Policy Aide focusing on Fintech & Crypto, you will play a crucial role in supporting our policy team’s efforts to navigate the evolving regulatory landscape for digital assets. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of thoughtful and effective policy strategies that advance the cryptoeconomy. You will assist in research, analysis, and communication related to legislative and regulatory initiatives impacting blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, and decentralized finance (DeFi).

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis on emerging legislative and regulatory proposals related to digital currencies and blockchain technology at federal, state, and international levels.
  • Prepare concise summaries, briefs, and presentations on complex policy issues for internal stakeholders and external engagements.
  • Monitor regulatory updates, industry trends, and competitive landscapes within the fintech and crypto sectors.
  • Assist in drafting policy positions, comments on proposed regulations, and other advocacy materials.
  • Support the policy team in managing stakeholder relationships, including government officials, industry associations, and academic institutions.
  • Coordinate internal policy discussions and ensure alignment across various departments regarding regulatory matters.
  • Organize and maintain a comprehensive database of policy documents, research, and legislative trackers.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Economics, Law, Public Policy, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in policy research, government relations, legal analysis, or a similar role.
  • Demonstrated strong interest in and foundational understanding of cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology, and fintech innovations.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear and actionable insights.
  • Strong analytical and research capabilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or Juris Doctor (JD).
  • Prior experience working with government agencies, legislative bodies, or advocacy groups.
  • Familiarity with financial regulations (e.g., AML, KYC, securities laws) applicable to digital assets.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and presentation tools.
