Job Description
Join GDI Services Inc. as a City Graffiti Removal Technician and play a crucial role in maintaining the visual integrity and cleanliness of Calgary’s public spaces. This independent work position offers you the freedom to manage your daily routes with a company-provided van, tackling graffiti removal tasks across various city locations. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who takes pride in their work and is committed to delivering high-quality results to help keep our city looking its best. Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain a company-provided vehicle to travel to various locations within Calgary.
- Identify and safely remove graffiti from public and private properties using appropriate tools and chemicals.
- Assess the type of surface and graffiti to determine the most effective and safe removal method.
- Ensure all work is completed efficiently, effectively, and in compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations.
- Manage and track daily routes, reporting completed tasks and any issues encountered.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, ensuring availability for daily operations.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding progress, challenges, and supply needs.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to health, safety, and environmental protection.
- Represent GDI Services Inc. professionally while interacting with the public.
Required Skills
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of chemical safety and usage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safety and environmental best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in graffiti removal, cleaning, or general maintenance.
- Knowledge of various surface types and appropriate cleaning agents.
- WHMIS certification (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System).
- First Aid and CPR certification.
