Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and safety-conscious individual to join our team as a Curtain Rod Mounting Specialist. This role is crucial for ensuring our customers’ home decor visions come to life with precision and care. Due to the nature of various window heights and architectural designs, comfort and proficiency with high ladders are essential. You will be responsible for the accurate and secure installation of various types of curtain rods and window treatments, often requiring work at elevated heights. This is a hands-on position requiring excellent attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to customer satisfaction and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently mount curtain rods, finials, and other window treatment hardware at various heights, often using tall ladders.
- Measure and mark precise locations for hardware installation, ensuring level and symmetrical placement.
- Utilize a variety of hand and power tools for drilling, securing, and adjusting installations.
- Interpret design plans and customer specifications to achieve desired aesthetic and functional outcomes.
- Inspect work areas for potential hazards and maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any concerns and ensuring complete satisfaction.
- Transport tools and materials to various job sites within the Reno area.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company guidelines, especially when working at heights.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to work safely and comfortably on high ladders (10+ feet) for extended periods.
- Strong manual dexterity and proficiency with basic hand and power tools (drills, levels, tape measures).
- Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for precise alignment and aesthetics.
- Basic measurement and math skills.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in home improvement, construction, or handyman services.
- Familiarity with various types of window treatments and hardware.
- OSHA 10 or similar safety certification.
- Customer service experience in a retail or service environment.
