Job Description
We are seeking experienced and dedicated Charter Coach Drivers to join our national touring team. This exciting role involves operating luxury motor coaches on national tours, transporting passengers across various states and destinations throughout the USA. As a Charter Coach Driver, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and comfort of our passengers, adhering to strict schedules, and providing exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a charter coach on scheduled national tours across the United States, adhering to all traffic laws and company regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean and orderly coach interior and exterior.
- Assist passengers with luggage and ensure their comfort and safety throughout the journey.
- Provide excellent customer service, responding to passenger inquiries and addressing concerns professionally.
- Manage tour itineraries and ensure timely arrivals and departures at various destinations.
- Complete all required paperwork accurately, including logbooks, incident reports, and mileage records.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, including hours of service.
- Represent Greyhound Lines with professionalism and a positive attitude at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and Air Brake endorsements.
- Minimum of 3 years of verifiable commercial driving experience, preferably with motorcoaches or heavy vehicles.
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Physical ability to lift and move luggage up to 50 lbs and assist passengers as needed.
- Flexibility to travel for extended periods and adapt to varying schedules and environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with national tour operations and multi-day trips.
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs).
- Geographical knowledge of major routes and destinations across the USA.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for minor roadside adjustments or troubleshooting.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
