Job Description
Join FedEx Freight as a CDL-A Dry Van Driver focusing on dedicated drop-and-hook routes. Key Responsibilities
- Operate a Class A Commercial Motor Vehicle safely and efficiently.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections according to DOT regulations.
- Transport dry van freight via dedicated drop-and-hook routes.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and company policies.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELDs) and other necessary paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations team.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods while prioritizing safety.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A).
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and PSP report.
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable CDL-A driving experience.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations (HOS, pre/post-trip, etc.).
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with drop-and-hook operations.
- Hazardous Materials (HazMat) endorsement.
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs).
- Experience driving in various weather conditions.
