Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and observant Market Research Scribe with a focus on Sentiment Analysis to join our dynamic team in Austin. In this role, you will be crucial in transforming raw data into actionable insights by accurately transcribing and categorizing consumer feedback, with a particular emphasis on identifying and analyzing sentiment. Your work will directly support our client’s understanding of public perception, product performance, and brand reputation.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe qualitative data from various sources, including surveys, social media, and focus group discussions.
- Apply predefined sentiment analysis guidelines to categorize text data as positive, negative, neutral, or mixed.
- Identify and tag key themes, topics, and entities within textual feedback.
- Ensure the consistency and quality of transcribed and tagged data, adhering to strict research protocols.
- Collaborate with data analysts and research teams to refine categorization schemes and improve data accuracy.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of sentiment analysis tools and methodologies.
- Manage data within proprietary systems and databases.
- Participate in regular quality assurance checks and feedback sessions.
- Provide insights and observations from qualitative data analysis to the broader research team.
Required Skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and transcription.
- Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal.
- Basic understanding of market research principles and consumer behavior.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Analytical mindset with the ability to discern nuances in text and sentiment.
- Familiarity with data entry and management systems.
