Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and physically capable Bulk Stock Mover to join our large format retail team in Kingston. This ongoing, full-time position involves the efficient and safe movement of large quantities of merchandise within our warehouse and sales floor. The ideal candidate will be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively as part of a fast-paced team. This role is crucial to maintaining organized inventory and ensuring products are readily available for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and safely move bulk stock from delivery trucks to designated storage areas.
- Organize and stack merchandise according to established procedures, ensuring safety and accessibility.
- Transport goods from the warehouse to the sales floor, replenishing shelves and displays as needed.
- Operate manual and powered equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks, in a safe manner.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with stock rotation to minimize waste.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all storage and work areas.
- Follow all company safety protocols and procedures.
- Assist with other operational tasks as required by management.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects repeatedly (up to 50 lbs)
- Strong physical stamina and endurance
- Attention to detail and accuracy in stock handling
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Reliability and a strong work ethic
- Basic understanding of safety procedures in a warehouse/retail setting
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a retail, warehouse, or stock handling role
- Familiarity with inventory management systems
