Job Description
Join our dynamic team at Currys PC World as an Apple Inventory Specialist with a dedicated back-of-house focus. This role is crucial for maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of our Apple product stock, ensuring that our sales floor is always well-supplied and our customers have access to the latest devices. You will be responsible for receiving, organizing, and tracking all Apple inventory, playing a vital role in our operational success. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete lifecycle of Apple product inventory from receipt to dispatch.
- Perform accurate stock counts, reconciliations, and audits, addressing discrepancies promptly.
- Organize and maintain the back-of-house storage areas for Apple products, ensuring optimal space utilization and safety.
- Process incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders and reporting any damages or shortages.
- Prepare outgoing inventory for transfer or returns, ensuring proper documentation.
- Implement and adhere to all company policies and procedures related to inventory management and security.
- Collaborate with sales and management teams to forecast inventory needs and ensure product availability.
- Utilize inventory management systems to accurately record and track all stock movements.
- Assist with loss prevention efforts by maintaining strict control over high-value Apple inventory.
- Contribute to a positive and efficient working environment.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in inventory management or a similar back-of-house retail role (minimum 6 months).
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift and move heavy boxes, and stand for extended periods.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and willingness to learn inventory software.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- A keen interest in Apple products and technology.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with Apple product inventory.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, custom retail platforms).
- Forklift certification (if applicable to store layout, not mandatory).
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
